The people behind the bottle

La Ginestra began in 1978 when a group of young people brought uncultivated land near San Casciano in Val di Pesa back into use. Today, vines share the farm with ancient grains, olives, bees and animals. Sangiovese leads the wine range, but curiosity reaches from traditional Chianti to amphora ageing and skin-contact whites, supported by gentle farming and cellar work.
