SOMETHING SIMPLE
Apricot and mint pick up two of the wine’s flavours without hiding the peach.
FOR SHARING
The carrot suits the stone fruit and a little ginger makes room for the orange peel.
Roast squash with sage gives the apricot fruit and herbal side room to show.
A sticky chocolate dessert will cover the peach and green-tea scent.

Aleksander and Patrik Zavec are the third generation of a winemaking family in Slovenia’s Haloze hills. Their old vineyards are spread across four locations, each giving the brothers another part of the landscape to work with. They make wines with little intervention, keeping the emphasis on where the grapes grow. Furmint and Pinot Noir offer two different ways into their corner of Slovenian wine.
