AT THE TABLE
Prawn tempura with a little lemon
The dry bubbles lift the fried coating while citrus suits the prawns.

Green apple and grapefruit with a little yeasty savouriness. This dry pét-nat feels light and lively, with the yeast still in the bottle. Open it when friends drop round and the evening has no fixed plan.

SOMETHING SIMPLE
Crunchy apple echoes the fruit and the vegetables suit the light feel.
FOR SHARING
Toast meets the yeasty scent and the bubbles freshen the creamy topping.
Prawn tempura brings the grapefruit and yeasty edge into focus without weighing the wine down.
A thick, sweet teriyaki glaze can cover the light apple and citrus flavours.

The producer
The Melsheimer family has worked the steep slopes around Reil for six generations. Riesling is the thread running through the estate, from still wines to sparkling bottles. Caring for these demanding Mosel sites is part of the job they take most seriously: ecological winegrowing has been recognised since 1995, followed by Demeter certification in 2013. This is a family business built around keeping its hillside vineyards alive.
