The people behind the bottle

Four generations of vine-growing shape the Makarounas family winery in Letymbou, east of Paphos. Every grape for its wines comes from the family's own vineyards, giving the work in the field a direct connection to the bottle. Ungrafted vines, organic viticulture and indigenous varieties anchor the project, on breezy hillsides rich in gypsum, limestone and quartz.
