AT THE TABLE
Onion and bacon flammkuchen
The fresh acidity lifts the cream and bacon while apple fruit suits the savoury topping.

Melsheimer, Mosel, Germany
Peach and green apple meet a squeeze of citrus. The fruit feels rounded, then a fresh, mouthwatering edge keeps the sip moving. A dry white for the first glass of a relaxed evening.
You’ll notice the fresh edge underneath the softer peach flavour.

SOMETHING SIMPLE
The crisp citrus meets the lime dressing and cucumber leaves room for the peach.
FOR SHARING
The lemon echoes the citrus while the fresh finish keeps the prawns light.
Flammkuchen with onion and a little bacon lets the apple fruit cut through the creamy topping.
A sweet mango dressing can make the dry citrus finish feel too sharp.

The producer
The Melsheimer family has worked the steep slopes around Reil for six generations. Riesling is the thread running through the estate, from still wines to sparkling bottles. Caring for these demanding Mosel sites is part of the job they take most seriously: ecological winegrowing has been recognised since 1995, followed by Demeter certification in 2013. This is a family business built around keeping its hillside vineyards alive.
