SOMETHING SIMPLE
Fizz lifts the rich filling and the savoury character suits the crust.
FOR SHARING
Yeast notes echo the bread and the wine has enough character for the cheese.
Try mushroom toast; its savoury flavour fits the earthy, yeasty side of the Sekt.
A sugary strawberry dessert would hide the yeast and savoury detail.

The producer
The Melsheimer family has worked the steep slopes around Reil for six generations. Riesling is the thread running through the estate, from still wines to sparkling bottles. Caring for these demanding Mosel sites is part of the job they take most seriously: ecological winegrowing has been recognised since 1995, followed by Demeter certification in 2013. This is a family business built around keeping its hillside vineyards alive.
