SOMETHING SIMPLE
Fresh fruit suits the delicate fish and ginger.
FOR SHARING
The sweet onions meet the fruit; acidity refreshes the cheese.
A lightly spicy noodle salad suits its sweet-and-fresh balance.
A very sugary pudding can make it seem less fruity.

The producer
The Melsheimer family has worked the steep slopes around Reil for six generations. Riesling is the thread running through the estate, from still wines to sparkling bottles. Caring for these demanding Mosel sites is part of the job they take most seriously: ecological winegrowing has been recognised since 1995, followed by Demeter certification in 2013. This is a family business built around keeping its hillside vineyards alive.
