Plum and cherry with a little orange peel. The fruit feels generous and the tannins feel soft, with enough freshness to keep the sip moving. A full red for an evening that starts on the sofa and stays there.

SOMETHING SIMPLE
Soft tannins and a generous body suit the meat without adding a hard edge.
FOR SHARING
The rounded fruit and fresh finish balance the rich meat.
Try a baked aubergine and tomato dish; the generous plum fruit has enough weight for it.
Save oysters for another bottle; this warm, full red would cover their delicate flavour.

The producer
Lunaria brings together the biodynamic growers of Cantina Orsogna, near Abruzzo’s Majella National Park. Their approach starts with living soil and the wildlife around the vines, using compost preparations and the rhythms of the farming year. Community is part of the project too, through work with the Babalu charity, while traditional rope closures keep a visible link to local wine culture.
