Lorenzo Perseveranza 2023
Why it's worth a try
Lorenzo 2023 is a bold red from Le Marche made from 100% Montepulciano. Fermented naturally and aged in oak, it’s packed with ripe black fruits, spice, leather, and a touch of vanilla. Full-bodied and structured, it’s a wine that commands attention but stays honest and approachable.
Perseveranza
Dutch Soul, Italian Soil
Perseveranza is the heartfelt wine adventure of Dutch couple Arjen and Lenja, who turned a near-death wake-up call into life in rural Le Marche. Since 2021, they’ve been living their dream in Petritoli, cultivating 11 hectares (about 45,000 sq m) of organically tended vineyards that blend slopes near the Sibillini Mountains with Adriatic breezes. Farming primarily native grapes like Pecorino, Trebbiano, Passerina, Sangiovese, Montepulciano, and Sauvignon Blanc, they’ve already earned rave reviews in Perswijn, De Grote Hamersma (2024), and even made it into Gambero Rosso’s 2025 guide.
Their lineup spans vibrant whites (Gentle Pecorino, bright Trebbiano), floral Passerinas, Rosato, and soulful Sangiovese-based Rosso Piceno reds like Paolo and Leonardo, all handcrafted, terroir-first expressions made with clarity and heart.

Le Marche: Italy's Hidden Gem of Winemaking

Le Marche is a picturesque region on Italy's Adriatic coast, known for its rolling hills and commitment to traditional winemaking.
