Hofstudien Pinot Blanc Geyerhof 2022
Why it's worth a try
Hofstudien Pinot Blanc 2022 is a lean, organic Pinot Blanc from Austria’s Kremstal that doesn't play soft. Sustainably farmed, wild fermented, left unfiltered, and aged on its lees for over 20 months. Bright as hell in the glass with lemon rind, white flowers, and a creamy texture that rides a saline, mineral line.
Geyerhof
Austria’s Organic Wine Time Capsule
Nestled in the Kremstal region of Lower Austria, Geyerhof is a family estate with winemaking roots dating back to the 12th century. Today, Ilse and Josef Maier continue the tradition, farming 23 hectares of vineyards organically since 1988. Their holistic approach integrates arable land, hedgerows, livestock, and bees, creating a balanced ecosystem that supports biodiversity and healthy soils.
Geyerhof’s wines are a reflection of their terroir: honest, unadulterated, and expressive. They focus on Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, crafting wines that range from fresh and lively to complex and age-worthy. Minimal intervention in the cellar ensures that each bottle tells the story of the land and the vintage.
WINE REGION
Kamptal: Austria's Rising Star in Wine

Kamptal is a renowned wine region in Lower Austria, known for its white wines, particularly those made from Grüner Veltliner and Riesling.

Grüner Veltliner leads, producing wines with peppery spice, citrus notes, and a characteristic minerality.

The vineyards are planted on loess and primary rock soils along the Kamp River, benefiting from a cool climate that preserves acidity and freshness in the wines.
