Vino Rosso Susanna Produttore Società Agricola Gazzetta 2021
Why it's worth a try
This wine is a blend of Sangiovese and Procanico from Lazio’s volcanic hills. Fermented on skins for a month and aged in vats for nine months, it’s unfiltered and made without additives. Expect notes of macerated black cherry, damp earth, and a lifted finish.

Agricola Gazzetta
Australian passion on Italian terroir

Founded by Australian Patricia Nelson, who decided to start her very own project with Gazzetta, in the hills above Lago di Bolsena in northern Lazio. Here she cultivates two hectares of old vines on volcanic soil in a cool climate that makes it possible to make very refreshing wines with relatively low alcohol.
Patricia’s vineyard work is extremely conscientious and in her very simple cellar, work is done completely without any additives, including sulphur, and no fining or filtering before bottling.
WINE REGION
Lazio: Ancient Vineyards & Rome’s Wine Country

Lazio, the region surrounding Rome, produces about 1.8 million hectoliters of wine annually. While not as famous as Tuscany, it has over 400 wineries and a deep winemaking history dating back to ancient Rome.

Best known for crisp white wines like Frascati (made from Malvasia and Trebbiano), but also home to intriguing reds like Cesanese.

Volcanic soils from ancient eruptions give Lazio’s wines a unique mineral character. Rolling hills and a Mediterranean climate create fresh, vibrant wines.
