Why it's worth a try

From aromatic Alsace, France
White & Biodynamic
Rich and bold in the mouth
Special, luxurious wine worth splurging on
13.5% ABV

From one of Alsace's most innovative producers comes this field blend of complantation, where different grape varieties are grown and vinified together to express pure terroir. The Zellenberg vineyard produces a harmonious blend that's greater than the sum of its parts, offering aromatic complexity with stone fruit, citrus and floral notes. Dry, precise and distinctly Alsatian, it represents a more authentic approach to winemaking that respects historical tradition. For adventurous drinkers seeking wines that tell a deeper story.

Marcel Deiss

Poetic Alsatian Wines

Nestled in Bergheim, Alsace, the Deiss family has been doing its thing since the 1700s, and the modern estate launched in 1947. Today Jean‑Michel and Mathieu Deiss are all about field blends or complantation: planting mixed grape varieties in the same plot, fermented together, and 100% biodynamic since the late ’90s.

Forget single varietals—these are all about soulful blends. Their vineyard-led “Vins de Terroirs,” expressive and thoughtful, are so revered they even shook up Alsace labeling laws to ditch grape names from Grand Cru labels.
