Dario Prinčič - Bianco

Prinčič Winery, located in Oslavia near the Slovenian border, was founded in 1993. Initially, Dario Prinčič sold grapes to local wineries before transitioning to natural farming in 1988, eliminating chemicals and using only organic fertilizers. By 1999, he fully adopted skin-contact winemaking for all wines. The 10-hectare estate, with steep, clay-sandstone soils, requires all work to be done by hand. Grapes are hand-harvested and macerated in open oak vats without temperature control, added yeasts, or sulfur. Wines age in old wooden barrels, undergo natural fining in stainless steel, and are bottled unfiltered with minimal sulfur, often showcasing a deep orange hue.
